MyReasonWhyDE Art Challenge

Art Challenge contest was designed to involve children, from kindergarten through high school, in an effort to educate the nation’s youth on the dangers of substance abuse. The art contest is an activity that not only helps to ensure the health and wellbeing of all youth but also goes a long way toward maintaining a positive public perception of the community.

Entries are judged on the artist’s ability to create a submission of a tee-shirt or a poster with the contest theme. "#MyReasonWhyDE A world without Substance abuse". While the general purpose of the program is to promote being drug-free world.

Don't forget to include the #MyReasonWhyDE in all entries.

2022 CONTEST RULES

The artwork submission must show some degree of creativity and skill for its age group.  Only original artwork will be accepted for the contest and the artwork must include or surround the theme “MyReasonWhyDE” / A world without Substance Abuse.

Accepted media types include crayon, markers, paint, pencil, multi-media, photos, etc.

Entries should be on 8.5-inch-by-11-inch, unlined paper or Tee-shirt and should include one completed and signed entry form. Group artwork or pieces created by a class are also welcomed.

Submissions without a completed entry form, signed by the parent/guardian will not be considered.

All entries must be submitted by August 1, 2022

CONTEST WINNERS
Winners will be selected from across Delaware with a First, Second, and Third Place ranking per category. Categories include:

• Kindergarten - 1st Grade
• 2nd Grade - 3rd Grade
• 4th Grade - 6th Grade
• 7th Grade - 9th Grade
• 10th Grade - 12th Grade 

FIRST PLACE CATEGORY WINNER

• $200 prize with winner plaque and tickets to the Rockin into Recovery
• Event on June 4, 2022, at Hudson Fields

SECOND PLACE CATEGORY WINNER

• $100 prize with winner plaque

THIRD PLACE CATEGORY WINNER

• $50 prize with winner plaque

WINNING SITE COORDINATORS WILL RECEIVE A $50 PRIZE

• Winner’s property will receive a $100 prize to host a celebration for the community to honor their winner.
