STOP the SPIKE of overdose deaths over the holidays

Over hte four day Thanksgiving weekend in 2017, there were 11 recorded overdose deaths. At one of our meetings, Angela Lloyd suggested a campaign to reach out to people both in use and recovery who may be struggling over the holidays.

"Stop the Spike" was initiated prior to the December holidays. The number of overdose deaths from December 15th through December 31st was limited to six. While there was no way to measure the success, officials at the Department of Health and Social Services believe the "Stop the Spike" campaign played a large role.
