Funding to Fight Opioid Epidemic
GRANT TO TARGET SEAFORD, DELAWAREMarch 2018
In Sussex County, the Sussex County Health Coalition is working with 27 community partners to target Seaford and its struggle with the opioid epidemic.
The grant will help them continue these partnerships and implement drug prevention tactics that meet the needs of the community, said Executive Director Peggy Geisler.
One of the goals, in particular, will be to divert children from ever entering the path of drug use, Geisler said."It is a long-term marathon," she said. "We appreciate the starting gun from Highmark, but we're here for the long haul."
