Denée Crumrine, Corporate Communications Manager, Highmark Delaware
Denée Crumrine is responsible for internal and external communications and press relations for Highmark BCBS Delaware. She also manages the organization’s corporate giving and its donor advised grant fund, BluePrints for the Community.
Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Delaware is committed to the health and wellness of Delawareans throughout the state, whether through corporate sponsorships, employee volunteerism or health-based grants from BluePrints for the Community. So far in 2020, BluePrints for the Community has committed over $2 million in grant funding for projects and programs that address social determinants of health, reduce health disparities among minority populations, increase access to care for the underserved and uninsured and/or recruit and train our health care workforce.
We also continue to be an engaged partner with the Delaware COVID Rapid Relief and Strategic funds. In October, BluePrints announced a $1 million grant cycle to specifically target social determinants of health as our nonprofits work to meet the increased needs of families and individuals to survive the pandemic and thrive beyond. The Virtual Meet the Funder meeting had over 25 participants; thank you, Sussex County Healthy Coalition. We are grateful for our continued partnership and proud to support the Delaware Goes Purple Campaign!
